Man kills wife in Poonamallee

An electrician surrendered before the police claiming he had murdered his wife over a marital dispute, on Monday.

Police said Kittappan, 38, had married Sumathi six years ago. Both reportedly had frequent quarrels. So Sumathi was living in her mother’s house in Poonamallee.

On Monday morning, he went to her place. During the course of the conversation, he got angry, drew a hammer and hit her. He also severed her head.
