Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has laid the foundation station for the construction of a railway over-bridge at Perungalathur.

This railway over-bridge at Perungalathur will replace level crossing no. 32 at Perungalathur between Tambaram and Vandalur railway stations, according to a statement.

The bridge will be constructed at a cost of ₹ 206.83 crore. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone from the Secretariat on November 1, the statement said. The project is being undertaken by the State’s Highways Department.
