The Madras West Round Table 10’s annual charity golf cup took place at the TNGF Cosmo Golf Course on February 16.

The charity cup had 108 golfers split between nine teams. Several avid golfers and celebrities participated in the tournament this year including director Mani Ratnam and cricketer S. Badrinath. The Madras West Round Table 10, which is a part of Round Table India and Round Table International, has been hosting the tournament for the last 6 years and the funds raised are used for charitable causes, which include building schools for the underprivileged, hosting the Special Olympics for Children with special needs and the ‘Dialysis-a-day” day programmme.

“The funds raised this year would be invested in constructing a 20-bed dialysis centre in association with Rotary Club of Chennai Capital and Sathyalok Foundation,” said Vikash Nahar, the chairman of MWRT 10. The Hindu was a media partner for the event.
