Accused in 7 murder casesheld in A.P.

The Pulianthope police arrested history-sheeter Arcot Suresh in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. The accused was a gang leader and was involved in several murder and kidnapping cases in north Chennai, the police said.

A senior police officer said Suresh was a resident of Pulianthope and was accused in seven murder cases, including the murder of history-sheeters Chennakesavulu alias Cheena, Radhakrishnan, and Bhagavatsingh.

The 45-year-old gang leader has more than 40 cases pending against him and was detained 15 times under the Goondas Act.

Arcot Suresh recently jumped bail and went underground.
