TNEB announces new collection schedule

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a change in the assessment procedure and collection of power consumption charges for its L.T. consumers (domestic) in the IT corridor from June 1.

The areas on the corridor include Perungudi, Perungudi North and South, Thoraipakkam, VSI Estate, Sholinganallur, Chemmanchery, Siruseri, Karapakkam, Kandanachavadi, M.C.N. Nagar and Tidel Park.

Charges

Under the new system, assessment and collection of power consumption charges would be made throughout the month, with payment to be remitted from the second day of the assessment.

Time limit

Payment should be made within 20 days of the assessment.
