The makers of Kabali released two songs from the movie — Ulagam Oruvaukka and Vaanam Parthen — on YouTube on Saturday.

Producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu tweeted on Saturday night that they did not want to “keep the fans of the superstar waiting” and released the song.

The lyric videos of all the songs were expected to be released on YouTube at 11.06 a.m. on Sunday, Think Music India, the audio label associated with the movie had said on their Twitter page.

However, the entire album of the movie was then leaked online and made its way to many pirated music websites and was shared on WhatsApp.

While there was no official confirmation of the leak, many fans posted on social media sites urging people not to share the leaked songs and wait for the official release.

The sudden release of the two songs online before 11.30 p.m. on Saturday itself was seen by the fans as a move by the makers to combat the leak.

While there was initially a grand audio release function expected, the makers had earlier last week decided to directly release the audio. The movie, directed by Pa. Ranjith, is expected to release in July.

The production house V Creation had on Friday released an Android app for the movie as well.

The core team of the movie including producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu, director Pa.Ranjith and music director Santhosh Narayanan handed over the first copy of the audio CD to Soundarya Rajnikanth at a small event in the city on Saturday.

Here are a few songs from the album. Enjoy!
