Child electrocuted

An 18-month-old girl was electrocuted when she came in contact with a live cable wire in Chintadripet on Tuesday. The child was identified as Bhuvaneswari, daughter of Pushparaj and Selvi in Velachery. According to police, the family had come to Chintadripet to attend the funeral of the Selvi's grandmother, Chinna ponnu (80).

Bhuvaneswari was taken to Children's Hospital in Egmore, where she was declared dead around 4.10 p.m.
