A wrong operation by a pushback tractor damaged the door of an Indian Airlines aircraft and the aerobridge at the Chennai Airport on Friday. The accident happened at 8.30 p.m.

Airport sources said the driver of the pushback tractor moved the vehicle even before getting the instructions, resulting in the accident.

The aircraft, Air Bus A-320, was on its way to Muscat from Chennai (IC 923) and was grounded following the accident. The accident resulted in structural damage to the aircraft, airport sources said.
