Snake in parcel

In a bizarre complaint with the High Grounds police, a Bescom employee on Wednesday claimed to have received a snake inside a parcel along with a threat. Police sources said the complainant, Angelin De Silva, claimed to have received a parcel at his office. On opening it, he was shocked to a find a snake slithering inside. There was a letter in Kannada warning of severe consequences if he continues a relationship with a woman, who was his colleague at the Bescom office in Tumakuru. He claimed the snake slithered away after he opened the parcel. De Silva was recently transferred to the Crescent Road division. He has named a suspect. A police probe is under way
