Members of the Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) staged a protest outside the office of the Commissioner for Public Instruction and urged the department to withdraw the list of illegal and unauthorised schools, and publish a fresh list. “The list put up in the department is an old one and many of these schools have now got permission to run classes. It is unfair to ruin their reputation by branding them as illegal,” said D. Shashi Kumar, general secretary of KAMS.
