PU student drowns in lake

An 18-year-old Pre-University student drowned in Singena Agrahara Lake in Hebbaguddi police limits on Saturday noon.

Pradip, a IInd year student in a private college at Chandapura, was residing with his parents, who are labourers, in the area.

On Saturday, Pradip along with five of his classmates went to the lake for a swim. Pradip started drowning. His friends, who noticed him struggling to stay afloat, called out to passers-by for help. However, by the time they arrived, Pradip’s body was not to be seen.

The Fire and Emergency services traced the body after a couple of hours.

A case has been registered in Hebbaguddi police station.
