Police launch ‘cyberhood policing’ at HSR Layout

In order to contain the growing crime including mugging and house break thefts in and around HSR Layout, the city police have launched Cyberhood policing on Thursday.

As part of the new initiative the city police have installed 17 CCTV cameras at sensitive locations which can be monitored by the police and the local watch committee, round the clock.

As many as 50 local residents have been selected for cyberhood policing initiative, who can coordinate with the police to enhance round the clock security, Additional Commissioner of Police, P. Harishekharan said.
