There are two new appointments in Bangalore University.
A press release said Rajendra Kumar, lecturer, Department of Social Work, has been entrusted with additional charge as Director of Students’ Welfare, replacing N. Nandini. C. Shivaraju, Reader, Department of Sanskrit, has additional charge of the post of Special Officer, SC/ST Cell, replacing C.B. Honnaiah.
Both appointments are for a year.
Ph.D. withdrawn
The curtains fell on the controversial Ph.D. awarded to M. Venkataramanappa, student of Registrar (Administration) B.C. Mylarappa. The new Registrar (Evaluation), R.K. Somashekhar, issued an order withdrawing the honorary degree in sociology, a High Court directive which was approved by the Syndicate.
