Another experiment being tried by the Karnataka Knowledge Commission (KKC) on a pilot basis is to introduce projects in the college curriculum.

First batch

Sensing such a need for students graduating from non-technical courses such as B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com., students in the Malnad Progressive Education Society, Honnavar, will become the first batch to be tested with the three-month project requirement.

Intention

The aim behind making it mandatory is to familiarise them with data collection, field work, data analysis and report writing, which will come to use in their professional lives. If it becomes successful, the KKC will recommend making three-month project work compulsory in undergraduate curriculum.
