HC asks BBMP to look into complaint against mall

The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday asked the BBMP to look into allegations of building bye-law violations by Mantri Mall.

A Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee and Justice B.V. Nagarathna passed the order while disposing of two separate PIL petitions.

Representation

With regard to the petition filed by Devaneshon, a resident of Prakash Nagar, the Bench asked him to give a representation to the BBMP on the alleged violation of building bye-laws and other irregularities in the construction of the mall while asking the civic body to conduct an inquiry.

On another petition, filed by city-based advocate N.P. Amrutesh on traffic congestion on Sampige Road due to the mall, the Bench asked the police to take necessary steps.
