The Bengaluru police have brought Tamil comedy actor S. Srinivasan, popularly known as Powerstar Srinivasan, to Bengaluru after getting a body warrant from a Delhi Court in connection with a cheating case filed against him.

The actor was arrested by the Delhi police in March this year on charges of cheating a businessman in New Delhi to the tune of ₹10 crore after promising to get him a loan of ₹1,000 crore.

“Srinivasan is also wanted by the Bengaluru police. He had allegedly cheated businessman Masroor Alam and his brother Sajjad Wahab to the tune of ₹ 1 crore after promising them a loan of ₹30 crore,” said a police officer attached to High Grounds police station.

A month ago, the High Ground police went to Delhi to get a body warrant. He will be produced in the 4th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court.
