BMRCL work to affect traffic at Jayadeva junction

Service road connecting Diary Circle to Silk Board junction will be closed

The service road connecting Diary Circle on Bannerghatta Road to Central Silk Board junction will be closed for traffic as the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will start construction of an elevated section of the Gottigere-Swagath Cross metro line from Wednesday.

Movement on Jayadeva underpass or Marenahalli Road (connecting Banashankari and Silk Board junction) will not be affected. A release said those travelling from Diary Circle towards Central Silk Board Junction will have to take a right turn at Gurappanpalya Junction, and through 39th Cross Road-East End Main Road can join Marenahalli Main Road to reach Central Silk Board junction.

Those travelling from Diary Circle towards Banashankari will have to take a right turn at Gurappanpalya Junction, and through 39th Cross Road-28th Main Road can join Marenahalli Road to reach Banashankari.

Incidentally, BMRCL is also constructing the R.V. Road to Electronics City line through Marenahalli road towards Central Silk Board junction. This line will meet the Gottigere-Swagath Cross line at Jayadeva flyover, which will have to be demolished.

BMRCL officials said this work would be carried out after construction of viaducts on the service roads.
