In another attention diversion case, a city-based contractor was allegedly robbed of Rs. 15 lakh by bike-borne men in Malleswaram on Thursday. The complainant, Kiran, is a resident of Peenya. He had withdrawn Rs. 15 lakh from Corporation Bank in Peenya 2{+n}{+d}Stage around 11.30 a.m. and heading towards his office in Malleswaram in his car. Police said that Kiran stopped near 15th Cross when two men on a motorcycle approached him. The pillion rider allegedly told Kiran that oil was leaking from his car’s bonnet. When Kiran got down to check, the man grabbed the bag lying in the front seat.
