This year's edition of the Bangalore Literature Festival will be held on October 27-28 in Hotel Lalit Ashok. The seventh edition of the festival will have over 150 authors and speakers from across the country, including Ramchandra Guha, Chetan Bhagat and Shashi Tharoor.

This year, the festival will introduce panels on cartooning, science fiction and some other topics that were previously not part of the event.

In a pre-event, BLF will host a book launch of Ramachandra Guha's latest work ‘Gandhi: The years that changed the world 1914-1948’, on September 16 at Alliance Francaise.

BLF has also published a long list for the Atta Galata Bangalore Literature Festival Book Prize on their website. Citizens can vote for their favourites starting September 15.

The long list includes 13 works of fiction and 12 of non-fiction, including works of Nayantara Sahgal, Perumal Murugan, Anjum Hasan, Benyamin and Jayant Kaikini.

BLF Litmart, a platform for aspiring authors to pitch their works to publishers, has also begun accepting entries, and the last date for submission is October 12.
