A day after the arrest of three associates of former councillor V. Nagaraj, the police have arrested one more person, Sujith. They have recovered several SIM cards from Sujith.

The arrests are in connection with the seizure of ₹14.8 crore in demonetised currency from the house and office of Nagaraj in April.

According to the police, Sujith is related to Nagaraj. He used to provide SIM cards to the latter.

During investigation, Sujith told police that Nagaraj is shifting base regularly and using new SIM cards every day.

Sujith has also been providing different ID cards to Nagaraj, which have been borrowed from his friends and associates.

The police said that they have some information about the whereabouts of Nagaraj and expect to arrest him soon.
