The police has deployed personnel in and around the house of Chief Minster Siddaramiah’s daughter-in-law following a complaint filed by her with the Malleshwaram police on June 16.

In her complaint, Smitha Rakesh said that some unknown person had broken the light of her house and plucked the jack fruits from the tree in front of the house. “I noticed a few people moving around the house and my pet dog started barking. I presume that this is not the act of thieves. Since I am living with my mother and two children I need protection,” she stated in her complaint.

Based on the complaint, the police have stepped up security and are probing further.
