“I love to be called a music teacher,” says Carnatic vocalist R.K. Padmanabha who has trained more than 1,000 students, conducted 125 workshops in 21 years, and taught nearly 900 compositions of 25 composers to students from all sections of society, free of cost. Vidwan Padmanabha is among the vocalists who has comprehensive documentation of his own compositions, has meticulously notated kritis of various composers for which he has scored music, written books, and has thematic recordings and valuable Carnatic modules released as CDs which can be used as reference material.
