Judiciary and police should work together for speedy disposal of pending cases, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari said.

“Judiciary and police must jointly work for speedy disposal of pending cases which are on the rise” he said, during an interaction with advocates here.

Refuting the common notion among advocates that police have no respect for them and will not cooperate with them, as “totally wrong”, Bidari said, “We have all respect for the judiciary and are ready to cooperate with them fully“.

“We are ready to assign the requisite number of police personnel to aid legal functions like issue of warrants and summons. Mutual cooperation between police and judiciary is essential to bring down the pendency of cases”, he said.
