Former Minister and senior leader of the TDP Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy has lashed out at Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy for holding the TDP and the former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu responsible for trying to favour the NCC group.

Addressing a media conference here on Saturday, Mr. Murthy said that the TDP was ready to accept the challenge of Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy. He, however, said that the Telugu Desam government had issued the G.O. saying that the land would be given at 20% more than the market value as in 2019. They (NCC) had sought exemption of stamp duty.

The TDP leader alleged that the present government has given the land for ₹187 crore, while a four-member committee had estimated the cost of the land at ₹1,000 crore. He claimed that he had 40 years of political experience in various capacities with a clean record. He said the YSRCP leader had made allegations of corruption against him on the Mudapaka land scam but failed to prove it even after three years.

The TDP leader said that he could not be cowed down by defamation threats and said that he was also ready to file a defamation case against the YSRCP leader for making baseless charges against him on the Mudapaka land scam.

TDP leaders Pasarla Prasad, VSN Murthy Yadav, Ganta Nookaraju, TNSF State president M. Venugopal, Telugu Mahila Parliament district president S. Anantalakshmi were present.
