In what could be a breather to the rise in the mercury levels, the meteorology officials have said that thunderstorm, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning, is very likely to occur at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari districts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.
According to the officials of India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation now lies over the north interior Karnataka and adjoining central Maharashtra, extending up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level.
Under its influence, thunderstorm and lightning are expected at isolated places in the north coastal districts of the State. The meteorology officials added that dry weather is likely to prevail over the Rayalaseema region. The maximum day temperature is likely to remain above the normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in some parts of Rayalaseema on Thursday and Friday.
