RP plans workshop for film aspirants

June 08, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Considering the growing number of film aspirants across coastal Andhra, music composer, director and actor R.P. Patnaik plans to organise a two-day workshop in the port city shortly.

In a move to promote quality filmmaking, Mr. Patnaik said here on Sunday that as a director he was keen on contributing to the initiative and make budding filmmakers to think beyond canning short films.

“Venturing into short filmmaking and uploading it on YouTube has become the new trend. It is essential to look into the larger picture and understand the nuances of the art before exploring the path,” he said.

Mr. Patnaik said that the workshop would be held in association with Vizag Film Society (VFS).
