Puri Shankaracharya to deliver discourse in city

Swami Nischalanand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Govardhan Peeth at Puri, will be on a two-day visit to the city, beginning Tuesday.

The Puri Shankaracharya will deliver a public discourse at Raghu Engineering College at Dakamari on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12.30 and another one at the TTD Kalyanamandapam from 5 p.m., Andhra Pradesh coordinator of the Govardhan Peeth Srinivasa Bangareshwara Sarma told the media here on Monday.

On Wednesday morning, the seer will hold a discussion with intellectuals at the residence of K. Raghu, founder of Raghu Group of Educational Institutions at Ramnagar from 11 a.m.

Vedic mathematics

According to Premchand Jha, all-India coordinator of the mutt, the Shankaracharya is an exponent in Vedic mathematics and he will have a discussion with the intellectuals on a number of subjects. Swami Nischalanand Saraswati has authored more than 180 books including 13 on Vedic mathematics, said Mr. Jha.
