NTPC distributes 25,000 saplings

NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Station distributed 25,000 fruit-bearing saplings in Pendurti mandal on Sunday.

Mandal Parishad president Varalaxmi, MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, and NTPC Group General Manager A.K. Samanta distributed the saplings. Addressing the public, Mr. Samanta said that it was the responsibility of each and every citizen to plant one plant every year to keep the environment free from pollution and requested them to ensure their sustainability. Mr. Satyanarayana Murthy expressed happiness over NTPC contributing for the overall Green Visakha Programme under its corporate social responsibility.

NTPC Deputy General Manager K.K.M. Naidu and Senior Manager K.H. Prasad spoke.
