Name KGH super specialty block after YSR: Minister

Minister of Tourism and Culture Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao has asked the officials of King Geroge Hospital (KGH) to name the super specialty block after former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. The block was constructed at a cost of ₹30 crore.

MPLAD funds

He inaugurated a reverse osmosis (RO) water plant set up at the King George Hospital (KGH) on Tuesday. The facility was built in the Nephrology Block of the hospital at a cost of ₹8 lakh released from the MP Local Area Development funds of Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao assured officials that the State government would initiate measures to resolve the problems that were brought to the notice of the Health Minister during his visit to the hospital.

KGH Superintendent G. Arjuna, Andhra Medical College principal P.V. Sudhakar, resident medial officers and heads of the departments were present on the occasion.
