B. Seshu Kumar took charge as Director (Operations) in the Board of APEPDCL here on Saturday.

He was appointed for a period of two years. Earlier, he worked in the APEPDCL in various capacities. He worked as SE (Operations) and Chief General Manager (Projects, IT&QC) in APEPDCL.

Outlining his priorities, he told the media that his aim was to ensure interruption-free power supply to consumers during monsoon.

“Works for the forthcoming Godavari Pushkarams are progressing as per schedule and 90 per cent of the work has been completed,” he said.

A sum of Rs. 54 crore had been sanctioned for the works, out of which Rs. 44 crore was already utilised. The remaining work would be completed ahead of the Pushkarams, he added.
