A college going youngster created a scare by faking a kidnap drama here on Tuesday.

According to Airport Police Station Inspector Prabhakar, one Mohammed Ghouse from NAD Kotha Road approached the police on Tuesday morning and informed that his minor son, an Intermediate student at a private college, has been kidnapped by some unidentified miscreants while going to college near NAD Junction.

The father reportedly also said that his son Khaja has sent him a message saying that the kidnappers are having guns and they have kept him in the boot of car.

Based on a complaint filed by Mr. Ghouse, the Airport zone Police had formed teams to trace out the minor. However by the evening, the parents said that they have received a call from their son, who said that the kidnappers have left him at SKota.

Upon inquiry, the teenager revealed that he had played the prank, as he was not interested in going to college, said Mr. Prabhakar.

The student confessed that he had been telling his father that he was not interested in going to college, but his father insisted that he should attend college. To stay away from college, he has hatched kidnap plan, the inspector added.

The police are going to take legal opinion and act on the minor.
