Domestic cargo terminal opened

Domestic cargo will be handled through the Integrated Cargo Complex at Visakhapatnam International Airport from next week.

An office of Delex Air Cargo was formally opened by Union Minister of Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju at the airport here on Thursday. Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu and Visakhapatnam West MLA P.G.V.R. Naidu, airport Director Vinod Kumar Sharma, and Delex CEO Sattiraju, Director M.S.V. Murthy, and Business Head (Delhi) Sriram attended.

“We have been provided space at the common user terminal at the old terminal building, which has been converted into a cargo complex. We undertake scanning and handling of both inbound and outbound domestic cargo on behalf of various airline operators,” a representative of Delex said. Though the office opened on Thursday, actual operations would begin in four days. Delex can be contacted on mobile No. 97030 21456 or 88855 38844 for booking of domestic cargo. The tender process for selection of the agency for handling international cargo is in process and is expected to be completed soon,” Mr. Vinod Kumar said.
