Call for movement to give fillip to public libraries

Speakers have called for a resurgent and rejuvenated public library movement involving all sections of people to create a knowledge society.

At a meeting organised on Sunday to facilitate former librarian of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant P.S.N. Murthy and release a book on ‘Corporate social responsibility and public libraries' by Festschrift Committee and Society for Promotion of Public Libraries, Steel Plant Director (Commercial) T.K. Chand described libraries as time capsules.
