Anglo-Indians to hold best couple contest

Anglo Indian community in the State will conduct Anglo- Indian Princess and Prince Charming contest here on Saturday.

As part of 84th World Anglo- Indian Day, a function will be held at Railway Institute at 7.30 p.m. At the same venue the contest will be conducted. The best couple will be selected on the occasion.

Prizes will be given in various categories. Authentic Anglo Indian food will be served with a dance programme sporting traditional dresses, according to organisers Yolanda McGuiness, Rudolf Simpson and A.P.J. Vinu.

Another luncheon get-together will be organised at Sacred Heart’s Parish Hall the following day. Former MLA from the community Christine Lazares will grace the occasion.
