In continuation with a series of Indian classical music concerts, Tarakeshwara Foundation has scheduled nine Carnatic music concerts over the following three weekends and an elaborate photo exhibition on the life and musical career of violin maestro Dwaram Venkata Swamy Naidu at Rajiv Smruthi Bhavan at Beach Road.
The first weekend begins with a Nadaswaram recital by Venugopalam Ramana Babu on Saturday evening followed by violin solo by T. V. Hemanth Kumar Sharma of Warangal on Sunday morning, concluding with vocal recital by a young Kerala artiste from Thrissur, Abhiram Unni on Sunday evening. Likewise, the second weekend will begin with vocal recital by Manda Sudharani on July 16, followed by another vocal recital by Sheik Imam on July 17 morning that will end with Sapta Veena recital led by Pappu Padma Ravishankar along with B. Kanakadurga Prasad and other young disciples in the evening of July 17.
On July 23 evening, Carnatic Venu Gana Vinodam – a multi-flute concert - will be led by the master flautist Indraganti Kaliprasad along with 11 of his disciples. On July 24 morning, there will be a violin solo by Ch. Sanyasi Rao of Vizianagaram, visually-impaired artiste who has been performing and teaching violin for more than 50 years. The final concert in the schedule, which happens to be the 50th concert of the series, will be a rare vocal recital by one of the greatest violinists and the scion of the famed Dwaram family, Dwaram Durga Prasada Rao of Vizianagaram, on July 24 evening. All the morning concerts will be held from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. while the evening concerts will be on from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The photo exhibition on the life and musical career of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padmashree Dwaram Venkata Swamy Naidu will be open from 9 a.m. on July 24 .
