Congress-led Union Government is cheating the people by not reducing import duty on crude oil, which has affected low-income and middle-income groups, alleged Telugu Desam Party demanding immediate roll-back of petroleum prices.

A novel rally was taken out from Jagadamba Junction to Old Post Office on Thursday making women sit on top of chariots drawn by four horses, a camel and party cadre enacting a street play to drive home the effects of price rise.

The TDP State organising secretary Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar led a host of corporators and party workers in the rally demanding removing subsidy on diesel used for large cars and petrol.
