Dharna staged against hike in fuel prices

District units of CPI, CPI (M) and MCPI organised a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Monday demanding that the Government release arrears to the beneficiaries of welfare schemes and to roll back the prices of diesel, petrol and LPG.

A large number of supporters of the three parties participated in the dharna. Later representatives of the three parties submitted a memorandum to the district administration listing their demands.

CPI (M) leaders Ch. Narasinga Rao and K. Lokanadham; CPI's J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy and Ch. Raghavendra Rao and MCPI leaders S. Gangadhara Reddy and M.N.R. Patnaik addressed the participants of dharna.
