Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu on Monday launched a mobile android app to make available the details of party's 21st All-India Congress to be held here from April 14 to 19.
The android platform would help people know the proceedings of the party's crucial all-India conference, Mr. Raghavulu said. Party's State secretariat member Ch. Narasinga Rao was also present.
Mr. Narasinga Rao informed reporters that as part of "Gadapa Gadapaki CPM" campaign as a runup to the party congress, party leaders and workers had so far contacted two lakh families and would contact another one lakh families. Response to the party's appeal to support the all-India conference was good and providing funds liberally.
People have also understood that CPM was the party that reflected their aspirations and fight for their cause.
The Vizag Fest to be held on the Andhra University grounds from April 10 to 19 as part of the party congress would witness performances by folk art troupes from north coastal Andhra and other parts of the State; a book exhibition and pavilions by PSUs and private sector industries and the whole show would not be like routine shows being conducted as tourist festivals.
Skits on the agitation for Visakha steel plant and the firing incidents and Nirbhaya incident would be performed during the Visakha Fest.
