Stone laid for ‘anna satram'

Tamil Nadu Governor K.Rosaiah laid the foundation stone for the new building of Kanyaka Parameswari Anna Satram, a charitable trust that has been serving pilgrims for the past 140 years, here on Sunday.

Laying the foundation stone Mr Rosaiah said the trust had been providing boarding and lodging free for pilgrims who come here from all over the country.

He said a modern building that would provide all facilities to pilgrims would come in place of the old dilapidated one.

Later, Mr Rosaiah inaugurated the Positive Pulse Hospital near NTR circle in Patamata. He said Pardha Saradhi, head of Pulse Hospital, was born in an agricultural family and did his MD in Ukraine and worked in several hospitals in Andhra Pradesh. He started Positive Pulse Hospital to fulfil his father's dream.

The 100-bedded multi-disciplinary super speciality totally air-conditioned hospital in the heart of the city will be of great service to the citizens, Dr Saradhi said. “Our mission is to bring healthcare of international standards with the reach of every individual and partner them in staying healthy and smiling,” Dr Saradhi said.

Secondary Education Minister Kolusu Parathasarathi, MLAs Malladi Vishnu and Vellapalli Srinivas, MLC Ilapuram Venkaiah, former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna, industrialists G.S. Raju, Koganti Satyanarayana and several doctors were present.
