Inter-State robbers held

Police arrested two members – Pitha Bhan Singh and Ditya Pawar - of an inter-State gang of robbers at the railway station here on Wednesday and recovered gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 10.50 lakh.

Producing them before the media on Wednesday, Police Commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao said the accused, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, committed offences in Krishna, Kadapa, Nellore, Khammam and Warangal districts and some other parts of A.P and Telangana.

They would target habitations close to highways . They committed four burglaries at Rayanapadu, VTPS Colony at Kondapalli, Narayanapuram Colony at Penamalur and Padmanabha Nagar Colony in Vijayawada city recently.
