Fitness tests for police recruitment begin

Physical fitness tests for candidates who had cleared the written examination for the Grade II constables, jail warders and firemen recruitment, conducted by the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board (TNUSRB), began at the Armed Reserve grounds in Tiruchi on Wednesday.

A total of 2,473 candidates are taking part in the physical measurement test and physical endurance test being held from Wednesday.

City Police Commissioner A.Amalraj, and Tiruchi range Deputy Inspector General of Police V.Balakrishnan inspected the conduct of the tests on Wednesday.

In Thanajvur, Inspector General of Police V.Varadharaju inspected the conduct of the tests at the Armed Reserve grounds in the town along with DIG J.Loganathan. Abou 1,754 candidates are appearing for the tests in Thanjavur.
