The last date for submission of entries for the annual All India Radio music competitions 2015 is June 12. The competition would be held in two stages – preliminaries at the regional stations of AIR and the final competitions in New Delhi and Chennai for Hindustani and Carnatic music respectively. The competition would be open to those in the age group of 16 to 24. The competition would be held in the categories of vocal music (classical, light music and folk music – Hindustani and Carnatic; and light classical in Hindustani); instrumental music (classical) and vrindgaan (chorus). The preliminary competitions would be held from August 3 to 28. Those interested can obtain the application forms from the Station Director or Assistant Station Director of the nearest regional AIR station, according to a press release.
