Cooperatives Minister Sellur K. Raju inspected the Tiruppainjali Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society on Monday and reviewed its functioning.
The Minister reviewed the progress made in the disbursement of short-term crop loans by the society as well as in investment loans. He also reviewed the safety measures taken at the society and advised its Special Officer to take necessary steps to run the agricultural service centre of the society profitably.
Later, he planted saplings within the society's premises. A total number of 124 saplings were planted. The Minister inspected the progress of a 100 metric tonne grains godown under construction at the Manachanallur Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society premises. He instructed officials to construct a compound wall to enhance security .
