THANJAVUR: The Papanasam police in Thanjavur district have arrested an unmarried woman on a charge of killing her mentally challenged four-year-old son and throwing the body into a river near here.
The police picked up Rekha (25), daughter of Anbalagan of Adi Dravidar Street, Melattur, near here on charges of killing her son and throwing the body into the Vettar near Thirukarugavur on Friday.
The woman found it difficult to raise him and in a bout of frustration had reportedly done him to death.
