A 24-day-old baby boy was handed over to the Tiruchi-based NGO SOCSEAD here under the Cradle-baby Scheme at the Collectorate on Tuesday. The baby, found abandoned near St.Anthony's Higher Secondary School, was secured to the safe custody of the district social welfare department by the Rotary Club. The baby was handed over to the Trichy-based NGO by Collector T. Munusamy.
