A 21-year-old woman was found hanging in a hostel in Murinjapalam on Monday.
The police identified the deceased as Greeshma, who hailed from Kottayam. She was a laboratory assistant in a city hospital at Anamukham, near Anayara, and was residing in a hostel run by the hospital. The Medical College police have registered a case of unnatural death in connection with the incident.
While there are allegations of harassment against another employee, the police are yet to arrive at a conclusion. The body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem examination at the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital, the police said.
