Russian dance troupe to perform today in city

15 dance forms, including Russian ballet, to be presented

A 22-member dance troupe from Russia has reached the city to participate in the Obraz dance festival.

Organised by the Russian Cultural Centre, the dance festival at Tagore Theatre at 7 p.m. on Monday will see the dance troupe from the Kaluga province present over 15 dance forms.

The Russian ballet will be the main attraction. Classical dances from the various provinces will also be presented.

The dance troupe reached the city after taking part in cultural festivals in New Delhi and Mumbai.

The dance festival is being organised in association with the State Public Relations Department and the State government’s cultural exchange centre Bharat Bhavan.
