Palliative care facility opened

Pallium India facility on PMS Dental College premises

The new palliative care facility of Pallium India was inaugurated by Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran on the campus of PMS Dental College at Vattappara on Wednesday.

Pallium India’s OP clinics, in-patient facility, ‘half-way home,’ and pharmacy and training centre will now function at the new facility at Vattappara. Its administrative office will be at Sivamangalam Lane at Pattom.

Auto drivers feted

The “Healing Wheels” scheme being implemented by the cycling club of College of Engineering, Trivandrum, was inaugurated by C. Divakaran, MLA. Under the scheme, money collected by renting out cycles will be donated to Pallium India. Autorickshaw drivers who give free rides to patients to Regional Cancer Centre were honoured on the occasion.

Chairman of Pallium India M.R. Rajagopal presided. Chairman of PMS College of Dental Science and Research P.S. Thaha; former MP K. N. Balagopal; among others, were present at the function.
