Designing games based on various stages of the Chandrayaan moon mission will be among the activities taken up at the sub-district camps of the Little KITEs IT clubs that will get under way from Saturday.
Students of the programming wing of the Little KITEs clubs will design the games using Scratch, a computer games visual programming software to include elements such as phases of the Chandrayaan launch, raising of the orbit, and soft landing.
The animation wing students will make animation based on short stories using TupiTube Desk software.
The camp modules will be introduced to the students using free software.
As many as 1.14 lakh students are part of 2,060 Little KITEs units functioning in schools as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission. As many as 14,000 students selected from school-level camps will take part in the sub-district camps. Nearly 350 two-day camps across 163 sub-districts have been arranged.
Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) which has set up the Little KITEs clubs has also arranged for 1,400 trainers in 350 training centres, KITE vice chairperson K. Anvar Sadath said in a statement here.
