Any movement of youth to protect freedom of expression is a cause for celebration at a time when Fascists are trying to stifle free speech and expression, Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran has said.

He was speaking after flagging off ‘ART deTOUR’ from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod, organised by the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board as part of the National Youth Concord.

Beware fascists

“These are times when fascists hunt those who express freely, like animals hunt their prey. This cultural yatra is important in such a scenario when those who are expected to raise their voices, remain silent out of fear,” said Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran, who inaugurated the double-decker bus exhibition. The exhibition and the performers will travel through all districts and will conclude their journey in Kanhangad on May 14.
